- Bendix Ultimate Brake Pads
| The Bendix Ultimate series is an excellent mid range brake pad that is best suited for upgraded street application. Pre-conditioned during manufacture, there is no bedding-in required. These pads are asbestos free & have a low metal content which makes them ideal for high performance vehicles. Although the pad has excellent high temperature wear and fade resistance - continuous operating temperature of 550°C - the cold performance is not compromised - these pads will stop you first time every time. | |
| For those of you entertaining weekend motorsport events, you will understand the importance of being able to pull the car up on command. For uncompromised braking performance, the Ferodo range of brake pads has a solution for you. | |
Ferodo DS3000
The range begins at the top with the Ferodo DS3000 Performance Brake Pad. This is Ferodos premium racing compound and is widely used in WRC, BTCC and now in NASCAR. Once this pad is warm, the amount of brake pedal that the driver needs to apply to pull the car up is greatly reduced, thanks to the higher friction level these pads run (0.62 of friction coefficient). Operation of the pad is not compromised from slow braking to a scorching 750°C - with a friction coefficient of at least 0.6 being maintained at these temperatures.
**Ferodo DS3000 are not recommended for street use**
Ferodo DS2500 The DS2500's are an excellent brake pad for those wishing to have the best of both worlds. The DS2500 will be at home both on the street and also on the track. These pads will begin operating at a lower temperature than the DS3000's and hence are suitable for use on the street. This, matched with the ability to maintain braking performance on the track makes this an ideal pad for the weekend racer. Best suited to Motorkhanas and Sprint Days.
Ferodo DS2000
The DS2000 is primarily a high performance street brake pad. However its speed and temperature sensitivity can be utilised in race conditions. This pad is suitable for street use or for rear calliper application under race conditions. Ferodo DS2000 express a friction coefficient of 0.42.
| The best way to utilise the stopping power of your new brake pads, is to match them up to a brake rotor that can handle the heat! It is not uncommon for standard rotors to become warped through spirited driving. The best way to avoid this is to upgrade to a slotted rotor. The unique slotted design, allows the rotor to cool itself down and more importantly disperse heat faster under hard braking conditions - this allows the pad to operate more effectively for longer. | |
